Civil War – Demo 2011

Civil War formed in 2011 from the ashes of Persist. Moving away from the melodic hardcore style that Persist played, Civil War play more of a NYHC style of hardcore which is so popular at the moment. I haven’t seen these guys live yet but they pull off this style well and I look forward to it. You can download this demo for free from their band camp.

    You should know that one of the members previous band, one of the guitarists, Lee, was a little-known post-hardcore band that went by the name of Corsairs.

    The bassit of Corsairs, Drew, spent a brief time in House Vs Hurricane before leaving.

    The drummer and vocalist, Dean and Scott, now plays in Snakeface with members of Parades including Jonathan Boulet. Scotty also spent some time prior to Corsairs in another small metalcore band known as The Valley.
