I picked
this LP up from the Midnight Funeral distro at an
Australia Day show at The Tote in Melbourne.
I had been meaning to check out Austin Lucas’ material for a while after falling
in love with a few of his tracks that I had found on various compilations.
There is something that puts Austin
Lucas above the other country/folk punk artists which I have listened to.
‘The Common Cold’ is the type of
record that you need to listen to on the porch with a beer on a hot and sticky
night. This record is a true gem.
